Rural Women in STEM Project

We started July with a bang as our founder, Tony Joy, and the Durian team have worked closely with Learning Connected to bring the Rural women/girls STEM project to life. With several months of careful planning, fundraising, and growing anticipation, we’re excited to launch this! The program’s primary aim is to train rural women and girls in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) — offering them an immersive 3-month learning experience including an introduction to computers, typing, the internet of things, and opportunities for women within the ICT space, etc. Our curriculum is set, and we’ll continue to conduct continuous research to improve our training.
