The New Year has started for us in a very strong way. We have spent some time visiting organizations that we will like to partner with for the leadership training that commences in February. On January 12, 2018 we visited Toniposy Poultry.
The aim of the visit was to introduce Durian to the company and also build a relationship. This is because during the training we will be taking our beneficiaries on field trips to various places so they can have a different learning experience.
The beautiful thing about Toniposy Poultry is that they run an integrated system. The faeces of the chicken are used for creating feed for the fishes in the fish pond as well as turned into fertilizers for the plantation farm. These are some of the practical experiences we want the participants to learn from. Toniposy Poultry farm has accepted to share experiences with our beneficiaries for a day during the training.
Guess what? This Poultry is located in Imafon community where we work. You see! RURAL IS COOL.
