As part of our programs aimed at empowering rural communities to become self-sufficient through transforming their local waste into value, we recently started the rural children learning space project. This space is a place for the children to meet every Saturday’s to learn more about their environment as well as learning life skills. Very importantly through this space, we want to empower the children to be kind to each other and see the beauty that lies in their environment. After this, we end the meetings with music and dance, creating most of the sounds from waste materials sourced from around us.
When children are empowered, the future of the community is secured.
This video shows what the “space” is like.
