Clean environment children sports fiesta

To secure our future we need to keep our environment clean and safe. To ensure this, engaging children in the process is very vital. In our own little way of reaching out to rural communities, we organized a children sports fiesta which was supported by Pace Impact Initiative. This came up on the 2nd of June, 2018 at Imafon community secondary school field for children in Imafon community along Igbatoro road Akure. This activity is part of our contribution to all global actions taken on the World Environment Day 2018.
The major focus is to see the children learn and have fun through game activities, by learning how to maintain a clean and healthy environment, personal hygiene and not to litter the street with waste from their snacks.
The activities organized were 100-meter race, sack race, egg on spoon race, basketball and football. It was really a great time with the children.
Some of the things needed to be achieved is seeing children in rural communities instilled with team spirit and see them acquire the ability to relate well with other children in the community.

Our children, if they must bring the real change we clamour for, we must show them now, how positively, sustainability can affect their future.
